Warranty Policy

Last Updated: 16 June 2025

At E&E Lighting Australia, we are committed to providing high-quality, reliable Exit and Emergency Lighting products. We stand behind the quality of our products and offer the following warranty. This Warranty Policy applies to products purchased directly from E&E Lighting Australia or through our authorised distributors within Australia.

1. Manufacturer's Warranty

  • All products supplied by E&E Lighting Australia are covered by a manufacturer’s warranty against defects in materials and workmanship. The specific warranty period varies by product type. Please refer to the individual product’s packaging, specification sheet, or our website for the exact warranty period applicable to your purchase.
  • Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

2. Warranty Period

  • The warranty period commences from the date of purchase by the original end-user. Proof of purchase (e.g., invoice, receipt) is required to validate a warranty claim.
  • Typical warranty periods for E&E Lighting Australia products are:
    • LED Luminaires:
       [e.g., 3 years]
    • Batteries (Internal to Luminaires):
      [e.g., 1 year]
    • Other Components/Accessories:
       [e.g., 1 year]
    • Please note: These are examples. You must insert the actual warranty periods for your products.

3. What the Warranty Covers

  • This warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and service within the specified warranty period.
  • Covered defects include:
    • Failure of components to function as intended.
    • Manufacturing faults that prevent the product from operating to its specifications.

4. What the Warranty Does NOT Cover (Exclusions)

This warranty does not cover:

  • Damage caused by improper installation, misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, alteration, or acts of God (e.g., lightning, floods).
  • Damage caused by non-compliance with the product’s installation instructions or operational manual.
  • Damage due to power surges, incorrect voltage, or inadequate electrical supply.
  • Normal wear and tear, including but not limited to, cosmetic damage, discolouration, or gradual degradation of light output over time consistent with the product’s rated lifespan.
  • Products that have been repaired or modified by unauthorised persons.
  • Damage resulting from inadequate maintenance or failure to adhere to recommended testing and maintenance schedules (e.g., AS2293 compliance).
  • Products used for purposes other than their intended design.
  • Consumable parts (e.g., certain types of non-rechargeable batteries, unless specifically stated otherwise).
  • Costs associated with the removal or re-installation of the faulty product.
  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use the product.
